June President’s Message

 Welcome to June – a month of celebrations and milestone events:

Congratulations to each one as you celebrate accomplishments and joyful events!

 One event already happned
The BHRW Education Committee Scholarship Essay on American government was  awarded to Clara Styles, a student of St. Matthews Catholic School. Her $500 award was presented to her by the Education Committee at a gathering of all students and teachers, as well as Clara’s parents. Clara will be using her prize money to help pay for her marching band’s trip to Washington, DC where she is looking forward to going to the Smithsonian Museum.

*Our speaker will be Danielle Bethel, current Marion County Commissioner and Candidate for Oregon Governor

The Oregon Federation of Republican Women is inviting the members of the five different Republican Women’s clubs in our District 1 to a Get Together on June 26th from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Stickmen Brewing Company, 13100 SE 172nd Ave., Happy Valley, OR at a cost of only $10. Come for fellowship, pizza and for electing the NW Region Director.

*Thursday, September 18 – BHRW Fundraising Dinner at the Stockpot Broiler, with our theme of “We The People”, as we celebrate Constitution Week.

 More events are coming, and you will be notified once they are confirmed.
