Greetings, Members!

We have had many reasons to celebrate lately – one of which was the first Oregon Inaugural Celebration Ball in Washington, DC, which was planned, promoted and hosted by our own Helen Heller, Cynthia Sawyer and Don Powers. Don is Chair and Helen is the Vice Chair of Congressional District 6, and Cindy and her husband were sponsors and promoters. Attendees included people from Gateway Pundit and about 500 others who attended, celebrating a new beginning for America. What a great celebration to put Oregon on the map!

We had our own Inaugural celebration in Washington County, planned by Jenny Kamprath , who is the Fundraiser for our county GOP. We had a wonderful time at the Stockpot Broiler Restaurant, with a cardboard representation of President Trump, delicious food, music, dancing, and meeting many people celebrating Trump’s victory. We were also pleased to have a group of students from Glencoe High School who are members of Turning Point USA and their high school advisor. We hope to connect with these young conservatives in more ways in the future, and help to grow the next generation of leaders.

Speakers so far this year include:

January: Gary Wilhelms, Chair of the Oregon State Capitol Foundation with information on the stages, progress and outlook for its completion.

February: Jim Westwood, Attorney and noted U.S. and Oregon Constitutional Scholar.

March: New Oregon Republican Party Chair, Jerry Cummings, who will be sharing his vision and plans for turning Oregon red.
